Kept is an iOS app that blocks the apps and websites you choose, during the hours and at the places you set. This policy says what Kept does with data. The short version: nothing leaves your phone.

What Kept stores

Kept stores your moments, your settings, and the record of which moments were kept, on your phone. If you turn on iCloud sync, Apple's iCloud key-value store carries a small copy of your settings between your own devices. Kept has no server and no account.

Screen Time

Kept uses Apple's Screen Time API. Apple shows the names and icons of the apps you pick, and draws the usage figures you see in Reports, inside Apple's own components. Kept never receives that data and cannot send it anywhere.

Location

If you tie a moment to a place, Kept asks for your location so the rule can work while the app is closed. The comparison between your position and the place happens on the phone. Kept keeps no history of where you have been.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. When Kept adds a purchases library, this policy will name it and what it receives, which is limited to purchase records.

Analytics and tracking

Kept has no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

Children

Kept is a tool for your own phone. It is not a parental control app and is not aimed at children.
