Kept is an iOS app that blocks the apps and websites you choose, during the hours and at the places you set. This policy says what Kept does with data. The short version: what you block, when, and where never leaves your phone.

What Kept stores

Kept stores your moments, your settings, and the record of which moments were kept, on your phone. If you turn on iCloud sync, Apple's iCloud key-value store carries a small copy of your settings between your own devices. Kept has no server and no account.

Screen Time

Kept uses Apple's Screen Time API. Apple shows the names and icons of the apps you pick, and draws the usage figures you see in Reports, inside Apple's own components. Kept never receives that data and cannot send it anywhere.

Location

If you tie a moment to a place, Kept asks for your location so the rule can work while the app is closed. The comparison between your position and the place happens on the phone. Kept keeps no history of where you have been.

Purchases

Apple handles payment. Kept uses RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives your purchase records from Apple and a random identifier that Kept makes for this purpose. It does not receive your name, your email address, your Screen Time data, or your location. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

App Store advertising

Kept advertises in App Store search with Apple Ads. If you install Kept after you tap one of those ads, Apple's AdServices framework tells RevenueCat which campaign and which search keyword led to the install. Kept uses this only to learn which ads bring subscribers. It contains nothing that identifies you. Kept does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not ask to track you.

Analytics and tracking

Kept has no analytics library, shows no ads inside the app, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Children

Kept is a tool for your own phone. It is not a parental control app and is not aimed at children.
